About Homolovi State Park
Over 300 Ancestral Puebloan archaeological sites lie protected within this park, a landscape whose name comes from the Hopi words for "place of the little hills." Visitors can take in historical exhibits and interpretive programs that explain the sites, along with birdwatching and hiking trails. A year-round campground with showers and an RV dump station serves overnight stays. The park once closed entirely for about a year, from February 2010 to March 2011, due to state budget cuts.
