About Elk City State Park
A reservoir spanning 4,500 acres borders this 857-acre tract, drawing anglers after channel catfish, white bass, crappie, flathead catfish, largemouth bass and saugeye. Alongside it sits a 12,000-acre wildlife area where white-tailed deer, wild turkey, bobwhite quail, prairie chicken, bobcat, coyote, mink and muskrat can be spotted, among other species. Together the three tracts give visitors both water-based fishing access and open ground for observing animals in their habitat.
