About Milford State Park
19,000 acres of public land surround this park along the southeast shore of Milford Reservoir, the largest lake in Kansas, which was created by Milford Dam. Anglers fish the reservoir for walleye, crappie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, and catfish, while hunters pursue quail, pheasant, prairie chicken, duck, goose, rabbit, turkey, deer, and squirrel, and trappers work the area for raccoon, muskrat, and beaver. Nearby are the 1,100 acre Steve Lloyd refuge, the Milford Nature Center, and the Milford Fish Hatchery.
