About Lily Bay State Park
Moosehead Lake, the largest lake in New England, borders the park's southeast shore. The land covers 924 acres and was mostly donated by the Scott Paper Company before the park's establishment, with Governor John H. Reed presiding over its official dedication in July 1962. It protects a stretch of lakeside woodland on one of the region's major bodies of water.
