About Trace State Park
A 565-acre reservoir called Trace Lake fills the center of this park, giving the land its focus and its layout. The park takes its name from the nearby Natchez Trace trail, tying the grounds to that historic route. Davy Crockett once lived within the area now bounded by the park, adding a documented frontier history to the site.
