About Bluewater Lake State Park
A reservoir formed in the Zuni Mountains gives this park its lake, which spreads across roughly 1,200 acres within a larger tract of about 3,000 acres. The surrounding land sits west of Grants, near Prewitt, in terrain shaped by the mountain range that encloses it. Visitors deciding whether to come can weigh the scale of open water against the dry mountain landscape around it.
