About Cross Ranch State Park
The Missouri River forms the eastern edge of this 569-acre park, sitting on the west bank. The Nature Conservancy's Cross Ranch Nature Preserve borders the park, a 6,000-acre tract that holds a roaming bison herd of more than 200 adults. The park itself covers land along the river without the bison, offering a distinct piece of riverside ground next to that larger preserve.
