645 acres of forest along Tryon Creek make up this natural area, which runs north to south through the land and separates the park into two halves. It sits within a major metropolitan area, bordered by Boones Ferry Road and Terwilliger Boulevard, and the Lewis & Clark Law School campus adjoins its northern edge.
