About Fisher Grove State Park
Named for Frank I. Fisher, the first permanent European settler in the area, this park sits along the James River. It offers camping, swimming, fishing, hiking and canoeing on the water and surrounding land. A ten-hole golf course lies next to the park, and both the course and the park grounds are managed by the Fisher Grove Country Club.
