About Balmorhea State Park
46 acres of land at San Solomon Springs make up this park, built around a large spring-fed swimming pool supplied by the springs themselves. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has managed the site since it opened in 1968. Visitation is limited to 900 people per day, and the park operates year-round.
