About Caddo Lake State Park

484 acres of piney woods forest make up this park, sited on Big Cypress Bayou just west of Caddo Lake proper. Two adjacent tracts, the Caddo Wildlife Management Area and the Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge, border the property. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department manages the grounds, which opened to visitors in 1934, a year after the park was established.
