About Townshend State Park
Hiking trails here lead up Bald Mountain, part of the surrounding Townshend State Forest in which the park sits. A campground gives access to those trails. The buildings and grounds were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s, and their preserved condition earned them a listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
