About Afognak Island State Park
Rugged, largely undeveloped terrain covering 75,047 acres makes up this island park, reachable only by float plane from Kodiak. It surrounds Perenosa, Seal and Tonki Bays on the northern and eastern ends of Afognak Island, and its western edge borders Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge. Fishing, hunting and hiking are allowed year-round across the varied wildlife habitat it encompasses.
