About Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park

A brick and masonry residence anchors the grounds, recognized as California Historical Landmark #329 in 1939 under the name Rancho Chico And Bidwell Adobe, then added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 as Bidwell Mansion. In December 2024, arson destroyed the building's interior, though the bulk of its brick and masonry frame still stands on the property today.
