About Skidaway Island State Park
Boardwalk trails cut through maritime forest and salt marsh here, ending at an observation tower overlooking Skidaway narrows on the intracoastal waterway. The 588-acre park sits on Skidaway Island, where paths pass habitat used by deer, raccoon, egrets and fiddler crabs. An interpretive center on site offers binoculars and reference books, along with a window for spotting migrating birds like Painted Buntings.
