About Ponderosa State Park
A peninsula jutting into Payette Lake forms the core of this 1,515-acre park, with a separate North Beach unit six miles north at the lake's northern tip. Trails cross the land for hiking and biking, and beaches and picnic areas sit along the shoreline, with skiing and snowshoeing available in winter and guided walks and evening programs offered. The University of Idaho maintains a field campus within the park's boundaries.
