About Thousand Springs State Park
Springs, a canyon, and a gorge make up separate pieces of this preserve rather than one continuous tract. Five distinct units, including Malad Gorge, Niagara Springs, Ritter Island, Billingsley Creek, and the Earl M. Hardy Box Canyon Springs Nature Preserve, are grouped under one park. Each unit protects its own stretch of water or landscape, so visitors choose among canyon views, spring-fed flows, or riverside land depending on which section they visit.
