About Black Hawk State Park
1935 marks the year the park was set aside, and its land borders the waters of Black Hawk Lake. The grounds hold campgrounds, trails, game preserves, and historic structures, three sections of which were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. Each July the site hosts the Lake View Water Carnival, tying the park to the neighboring town's calendar of events.
