About Dolliver Memorial State Park
Two areas within the park's boundaries, its entrance and its picnic, hiking, and maintenance grounds, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The terrain rises into high bluffs and cuts into deep ravines along the Des Moines River, giving the landscape its shape. The river runs through the park, bordered by these steep formations rather than flat open ground.
