Kitch-iti-kipi, known as the Big Spring, draws visitors into this 388-acre preserve in Thompson Township. The land was set aside as public parkland in 1926 to protect the spring and its surrounding acreage in the eastern Upper Peninsula. The park's grounds are managed specifically around this natural water feature.
