About Tahquamenon Falls State Park
A wilderness of nearly 46,200 acres was set aside along Lake Superior's shoreline, making this the second largest of Michigan's state parks. The land spans two counties, with its main section in Whitefish Township and a western portion reaching into McMillan Township in Luce County. Its size places it among Michigan's largest protected tracts of public land bordering the lake.
