Split into two sections twelve miles apart, the Bonanza Area to the north and the Meadowbrook Area to the south, this park sits along Big Stone Lake, which forms the headwaters of the Minnesota River. Across the water lies South Dakota's Hartford Beach State Park. Deer, raccoons, wild turkeys, pheasants, meadowlarks, and sedge wrens live within its grounds, which support picnicking, camping, hiking, and geocaching.
