About Big Lake State Park

Big Lake, the largest oxbow lake in Missouri, sits at the center of this 407-acre park at its northern end. The grounds support boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking, and camping. Because Missouri River floods have repeatedly wrecked park structures, the park switched in 2016 to wheeled rental cabins that can be relocated when floodwaters threaten.
