About Indian Cave State Park
A sandstone cave holding prehistoric petroglyphs sits within nearly 3,400 acres stretched along the Missouri River. The grounds also preserve the partially rebuilt village of St. Deroin, founded in 1853 on land once set aside for mixed-heritage tribal members. The property straddles the line between Nemaha and Richardson counties, combining river frontage with these preserved historic sites.
