About Ackley Lake State Park
A 160-acre lake fills most of this 290-acre park, with the Little Belt Mountains and Snowy Mountains visible on the horizon. The land is leased from the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation and operated by the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks. The lake gives the park its name and its shape, with the surrounding acreage wrapped around the water.
