About Cooney State Park
A reservoir formed by damming Red Lodge Creek in 1937 makes up the center of this park, with 309 acres of land wrapping around three of its sides. The impoundment itself covers 1,078 acres, giving room for boating, fishing, and swimming alongside picnicking and camping areas on the surrounding shore.
