About Tongue River Reservoir State Park
Built along the western shore of a 12-mile-long reservoir formed by damming the Tongue River, the park was established in 1983 on 642 acres at an elevation of 3468 feet. The impounded water supports boating, fishing, swimming, and wildlife viewing, and a seasonal marina operates on site along with camping areas. Its position near Decker, Montana, places it along one of the longer reservoir shorelines managed as parkland in the region.
