About Ice Age Fossils State Park
Fossil deposits from the Pleistocene era led to this 315-acre park's creation, which officially opened to the public on January 20, 2024. It sits next to the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument, bordering Willie McCool Regional Park on land at the far northern edge of the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The park exists to protect ground containing evidence of the Ice Age.
