About Beechwood State Park

Lake Ontario shoreline stretches across 288 acres of land once used as a Girl Scout camp. The park protects this waterfront acreage while it continues to serve a public recreation role, now managed day to day by the Town of Sodus under an agreement with the state, which retains ownership. That combination of state ownership and local operation shapes how the grounds are run today.
