About Chimney Bluffs State Park

Clay formations shaped like chimneys rise along the Lake Ontario shoreline here, visible from the hiking trails that trace the bluffs above the water. The park covers 597 acres on the southern lakeshore, east of Sodus Bay in the town of Huron. Its name comes directly from these eroded clay spires at the water's edge.
