About Gilbert Lake State Park
Civilian Conservation Corps labor helped shape this park during the 1930s, work still reflected in its layout in the Catskill foothills near New Lisbon. The land covers 1,584 acres and holds two bodies of water, Gilbert Lake and Lake of the Twin Fawns, both within the park boundaries. Most of the property sits in the Town of New Lisbon, north of Oneonta.
