About Taughannock Falls State Park
A gorge trail leads to a waterfall dropping 215 feet, taller than Niagara Falls, cut into surrounding rock walls that rise higher than the falls itself. The grounds cover 750 acres in the town of Ulysses, land set aside for public use since 1925. Beyond the gorge, the acreage extends toward Cayuga Lake, giving the park both a deep rock ravine and shoreline within its boundaries.
