About Great Plains State Park
The developed campground here covers about 487 acres, though the full park stretches beyond 1,200 acres between the Wichita Mountains and Tom Steed Reservoir, a lake with 31 miles of shoreline. Visitors have access to a swimming beach, boat ramps, and trails for hiking and mountain biking. Camping options include 56 RV hookups, split between modern and semi-modern sites, plus 30 tent sites.
