About Shore Acres State Park
Originally the estate grounds of timber and shipping businessman Louis J. Simpson, the property was later converted into a public park along the Pacific Ocean. It sits on the Cape Arago Highway, positioned between Sunset Bay State Park about a mile to the north and Cape Arago State Park roughly a mile to the south, west of U.S. Route 101 near Coos Bay.
