About Estero Llano Grande State Park
Two hundred thirty acres of resaca wetlands and thorn scrub habitat make up this Rio Grande Valley tract, opened in 2006 under Texas Parks and Wildlife Department management. Birders have documented more than 350 species here, making it one of the more heavily recorded sites in the region for spotting a wide range of resident and migratory birds.
