About Ray Roberts Lake State Park

Named for Herbert Ray Roberts, a Democratic congressman who represented Texas's 4th district from 1962 to 1981, this 3,777 acre park sits on the lake that bears his name. It spans nine separate units, three of them developed and six offering boat ramps with lake access. Its position near the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex made it the most visited state park in Texas in 2025.
