About Eisenhower State Park
Lake Texoma's shoreline forms the setting for this 423.1-acre park, managed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. It carries the name of Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th president, who was born in nearby Denison. Though state records date its establishment to 1954, the park itself did not open to the public until 1958.
