About Village Creek State Park
A sand-bottomed, free-flowing stretch of Village Creek runs through this heavily forested tract in the Piney Woods, feeding into the Neches River. The park covers 2,466 acres that the state acquired in 1979, though it did not open to the public until 1994. It is managed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
