About Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum
An Ancestral Puebloan archaeological site sits at the center of this museum and repository, preserving structures built by the people who once lived there. The grounds mark a natural boundary between a heavily forested area and a treeless stretch to the south, a line that gave the site its name among cowboys from nearby Bluff who camped here in the late 1800s. Cedar in that name refers to the Utah juniper trees covering the land above the divide.
