About Maidstone State Park

Civilian Conservation Corps crews built the park, opening it to the public in 1938. It sits within Maidstone State Forest in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom and gives access to Maidstone Lake, a 796-acre glacial lake, in a location noted as one of the state's more remote park settings. Fishing, hiking, boating, wildlife watching, camping, and picnicking are among the activities available on the grounds.
