About Rickwood Caverns State Park
Limestone formations dated to roughly 260 million years old have drawn visitors underground here, where guided tours pass through illuminated cavern passages and past an underground pool. Blind cave fish live in these waters, a detail tied specifically to this cave system. The preserve covers 380 acres of land set aside around the caverns for public recreation and natural history study.
