About Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park
About half of the land here is old-growth coast redwood forest, paired with 8 miles of undeveloped Pacific shoreline. The park operates as part of the Redwood National and State Parks system and grew substantially in 2002 with the addition of the Mill Creek tract, bringing its total area to roughly 48.8 square miles. In 1983 it was named part of the California Coast Ranges International Biosphere Reserve.
