About Sweitzer Lake State Park
137 acres of reservoir sit within a 210-acre tract of land donated by Morgan Sweitzer for recreational use. A boat ramp, swim beach and picnic sites give access to the water, and birdwatchers have recorded 170 different species within the park's boundaries. The land was set aside as a park in 1960.
