About Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park

Rolling sandhills give way to marshes, ravines, lakes and scrub across nearly 2,400 acres of terrain. Cabins and other amenities built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s remain part of the grounds, reflecting its status as one of Florida's earliest state parks. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2020.
