About Castle Rocks State Park
Granite formations rise across Big Cove at the foot of Cache Peak, part of the Albion Mountains, spread over roughly 1,692 acres. The land borders the Albion Division of Sawtooth National Forest and sits about a mile and a half from City of Rocks National Reserve. It became a state park in 2004, adding a protected buffer of rock and terrain next to that older reserve.
