About Kaw River State Park
Along the bank of the Kansas River sits a 76-acre property, the only urban-type state park in the Kansas system. The land was donated to the state in 2005 and opened to the public five years later. It borders Cedar Crest, the Kansas Governor's mansion grounds, and sits next to the larger 244-acre MacLennan Park.
