Lake Michigamme's eastern shore runs for about a mile and a half along this park, paired with an equal stretch of frontage on the Peshekee River. The land covers 1,100 acres split across Michigamme and Champion townships, giving visitors two distinct waterfronts to reach within the same property. The mix of lake and river shoreline shapes most of what the park offers on the ground.
