About Helen L. McNitt State Park

A donation from the McNitt family in 1999 brought this 134-acre parcel into state hands, bordering Cazenovia Lake. For years the land stayed undeveloped, with no facilities built out. In 2015 state officials approved plans to add lake access and improvements, marking a shift for the property's future use.
