About Lake Norman State Park

1,942 acres of land border the northern shore of Lake Norman at the point where Hicks Creek enters it. The park was formerly known as Duke Power State Park before taking its current name. Its shoreline and creek mouth setting support boating, fishing, water skiing and swimming, along with camping on the grounds.
