About Andrew Jackson State Park
A 20-acre lake with an island at its center anchors this 360-acre park, with a hiking path circling the shoreline. The land was set aside in 1952 to mark the birthplace and legacy of Andrew Jackson, the only president born in South Carolina. Visitors can fish, boat, hike and picnic here, and 25 paved campsites with water and electric hookups sit nearby, typically filling on weekends.
